I am excited to attend the fourth grade music program, Heroes All, on Tuesday at 6:30. See you there! Please return your child’s permission slip and money for our upcoming field trip to the Bob Bullock Museum by 2/13. I welcome parent chaperones. This will be the only field trip this year that chaperones will be able to attend. I hope to see you there! There is no reading log this week. However, specific objectives are required on IXL for homework. Please look for the stapled sheet in your child’s planner. A parent signature is required for IXL Monday-Thursday of next week, so your child will be prepared for the Metric and Customary Conversion test on 2/20. February Night Writes are due on 2/25. The last one, yea! Please emphasize to your child that great effort produces a fantastic composition. Improvement of our writing skills was evident in January Night Writes. Please continue to practice multiplication and division facts daily at home. The 4th grade goal is for all students to have a rapid recall of the multiplication and division facts. Congratulations to Venthan Dinesh for his First Place finish in the Canyon Creek Geography Bee and Sohan Makwana for a Second Place finish Also an outstanding showing by Aankia Hirode, Joanna Lin, Juhi Malwalde, Adarsh Ambekar, and Mason Tompkins. I'm so proud! For the Family Fun Fest, the fourth grade is collecting items for a basket that will be auctioned to raise funds for our wonderful PTA. Our theme is On Our Way to Fun in the Sun. Suggestions for the basket are: sunscreen lotion, travel games, beach towels, gift cards to fast food restaurants, water toys, DVD’s, magazines, books, ect. You are welcome to start contributing on Monday. Thank you so much. Six Flags Read to Succeed, "READING IS MY SUPERPOWER!" is taking place now. Amy, Max and Alice have already completed their log, and their names are proudly displayed on the Superpower wall. Show you school spirit by putting on your hippie clothes for Spirit Day on 2/20. It’s going to be fun! P.S. My favorite quote from the week was.... "A hippie is someone who was born like way back in the 1980's." I had a... Wow, I feel old moment!!
