EXAMPLES OF FAMOUS TEXANS Dear Parents,
I wanted to take a minute to say a HUGE thank you. I have felt showered with love this week from homemade cards/letters to my favorite snacks/treats and gift cards - many for coffee - it's like your kids KNOW me! hahahah! Seriously though, thank you so much for all the time and thoughtfulness this week. It means so much to me. I am going to miss each and everyone of your kiddos next year! Our last two testing days are Monday and Tuesday. We will celebrate a year of hard work on May 16th with an End of Year Showcase! It will be from 7:20 - 7:45 AM. I hope to see you all there! STAAR Snacks The 4th grade Homeroom moms will have snacks for STAAR. Your child is welcome to bring additional snacks. We do ask that all snacks are dry and nutritious. We also ask that you do not send snacks like Cheetos, Ranch Doritos, etc. due to the orange coating. Texas Chili Cook-Off: Friendly Reminder Please have all non-perishable items (canned goods, plates, bowls, table decor etc.) to school on Monday, May 20. All other items that require refrigeration (desserts, meat...), please bring to school Wednesday, May 22. Yee Haw! Your student should have come home on Thursday with a Chili Responsibilities List and the group recipe stapled to the back. We spoke at length today about the timeline of when to bring in items. Your student is responsible for showing me the Responsibilities Form signed on Monday indicating that you are ok helping to contribute those items to their group's chili cook off. If there is something on the list you are not able to provide, please let me know and I am beyond happy to help out! Thank you A BIG thank you to the first grade parents for the yummy lunch for Friday Feast and Mrs. Hodd!
